Request for Proposals for Strategic Planning and Board Training (RFP 01-19)
Nēwo Yōtina Friendship Centre is seeking proposals for the provision of board governance training and strategic planning facilitation and development.
The Nēwo Yōtina Friendship Centre Inc. (NYFC) is a Regina based not-for profit incorporated in Saskatchewan since 2010. NYFC has a variety of funding sources primarily Federal or flow-through Federal sources and offers many different programs and services such as Language, Youth Outreach, and the Indian Residential School Survivor Program.
Under new management since October 2017 as well as a recent relocation, the Friendship Centre has shown great improvements and accessibility to clients through the drop-in centre as well as regularly scheduled programming. New funding allowed for the creation of a Language and Youth Outreach Program and changes in direction created growth and increased attendance in already existing programming.
NYFC drop in services alone saw a 1000% increase in points of service and a 300% increase in clients coming through the doors when compared to the same time frame last year. Our centre is positioned for significant growth and expansion and having a clear and unified vision with tangible steps forward will greatly assist the staff and board to work harmoniously to expand services for the community.
