PROGRAMS
At Nēwo-Yōtina Friendship Centre, our programs are rooted in culture, community, connection, and care. We provide social-based programming for urban Indigenous and non-Indigenous people and families, while serving as a gathering place for community members to access support, build relationships, and find the resources they need.
Drop-in Centre
Our Drop-In Centre offers a welcoming space for community members to access essential supports and services. We provide breakfast seven days a week and lunch Monday to Friday, along with access to a public washroom, public phone, photocopying, faxing, printing, a computer for essential use, coffee, toast, and a weekly hot lunch
Housing Programs
Our housing support workers assist clients with obtaining and maintaining safe, secure, and affordable housing.
Through practical support, advocacy, referrals, and case management, our housing programs help individuals and families navigate housing systems, address barriers, and work toward long-term stability..
Mental Health & Wellness
Our health and wellness programming provides emotional, spiritual, physical, and mental support to Indian Residential School Survivors, their families, and communities through programming and case management.
We recognize that healing is deeply personal and connected to culture, identity, family, and community. Our programs are designed to provide respectful, culturally grounded support that honours each person’s experiences and needs.
Wâhkôhtowin Harm Reduction
Nēwo-Yōtina proudly operates Canada’s only Indigenous-led safe consumption site for adults 18+.
Our Wâhkôhtowin Harm Reduction program is grounded in dignity, compassion, and non-judgmental care. The program provides support for adults while helping reduce harm, increase safety, and connect people with health, wellness, housing, and community resources.
Youth Outreach
Our youth outreach programming supports young people by creating opportunities for connection, mentorship, cultural learning, and access to community resources.
We work to build safe and supportive relationships with youth, helping them feel seen, valued, and connected to their community. Through outreach, referrals, and programming, we support youth in navigating challenges while strengthening confidence, belonging, and identity.
