Mental Health

What are you struggling with? We can help.

Nēwo-Yōtina Friendship Centre’s Resolution Health Support Program provides emotional, spiritual, physical, and mental health support to Indian Residential School Survivors, their families, and community members.

Through programming, advocacy, case management, and cultural support, our team works alongside clients to create a safe, respectful, and supportive space for healing, connection, and wellness.

Elder Support

We provide access to Elder support for individuals seeking cultural guidance, connection, and healing. Elders may support clients through talking circles, cultural programming, ceremony, advocacy, and personal wellness journeys.

Application Support

Our team assists clients with Indian Day School, 60s Scoop, and related support applications. We provide guidance throughout the process, including emotional support, advocacy, and a safe place for clients to share their stories.

Advocacy + Case Management

Resolution Health Support Workers provide advocacy and case management to help clients access services and navigate systems. This may include support with housing, addictions, mental health, cultural supports, legal proceedings, and referrals to counselling or wellness services.

Support Groups

We offer adult support groups and community-based programming that encourage connection, healing, and belonging. Our team also facilitates a Women’s Group every Wednesday, along with classes, workshops, and cultural programming.

Holistic Wellness

Resolution Health Support Workers work closely with other Nēwo-Yōtina programs, including housing and cultural supports, to ensure clients have access to a wide range of services.

Our goal is to support the whole person with compassion, respect, and care. Whether someone needs help with an application, support through a difficult process, connection to cultural programming, or simply a safe place to talk, our door is open.

A Safe Place to be Heard

Healing looks different for everyone. At Nēwo-Yōtina, we approach every client with an open mind and an open heart. We are here to listen, support, advocate, and help guide clients toward the resources, cultural supports, counselling, and wellness services they need.
